.Busy Week!

My days have been pretty boring lately, but I'll still give you a rundown. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays I work at our local public library as an internet helper, so that makes it infinitely easier for me to get books/movies and stuff. However, me, not having a liscence, means that I have to take the city bus to get to and from work. So generally speaking, it takes about half an hour to walk to the bus stop from home, and then it takes maybe 15 minutes to ride the bus to the terminal, and then merely 5 more minutes to walk to the library. This week I'm even busier than that, because I'm helping in the children's choir which is Saturday, the adult choir on Sunday, the annual Church Christmas dinner on Saturday, Blood doner clinic Friday, practice choir Friday night and Sarturday night, practice and kids' club on tuesday night, and meeting with two friends Wednesday and Thursday after they're finished school, and meeting with my employment planner Thursday afternoon. Whew.

For the most part with free time I'm either browsing fanfiction or writing my own stories and upcoming novel, so that can be quite time consuming. Anyway, I need to go right now, sadly, so cheers!

.So Pwn stuff is out. Who wants Jack? xD

hanging: Learning Commons at my school...
now listening to:.people 'working' on project, people typing... you know, the usual. xD

Hey guys, haven't chatted in a quite a bit you know, sorry. Life's not too bad from this end - okay, so I was totally banned from Jack, I'm a bit tired/sick, because of stuff... yeah, anyway, writing a lot... reading a lot... a lot... It's kind of funny, coz I was reading this "You Know You're Obsessed with Twilight when..." and it was bloody brilliant. And I mean, it was good. I was laughing my head off... it was on Fanfic, and it went on for like, thirty pages... I still don't think its done yet... anyway. This is me, just wasting time, when I could be doing something productive, like reading this PWN FANFIC that makes me giggle un-Liz-like. Okay, that's it. I'm gone. Urgh. YES! Okay, so really, there was this guy who sat beside me in the lab, and he kept either glancing at me or looking at my screen/my PMs, emails, you know, and it was really annoying. So I'm still going to post this, because its hilarious, and I'd definitely find it amusing if he found this post.

So dude with the hat and glasses who was looking at my stuff instead of working, this is a shoutout to you, bud! XDDDDDDDDD

Stampeeeede!

Hello, one and all.  Calgary Stampede on the move.  Pretty awesome and sweet - there was free breakfast, free lunch, and I'm heading out to a free dinner - not on the streets, mind you - but still free.  for the folks in P-Unit or in Stouffville - or even in the same time zone - it's two hours earlier.  We're going on 5:30 - and my ride has not come up to the apartment yet.  Better run in case they do.

Ultraviolet

Finished watching: Ultraviolet the Television Series
Currently longing: For Doctor Who Season Three Boxset and These Three Remain by Pamela Aidan. [I think I'm gonna have to wait a few more days at least, though]

Heya, gang. I have some interesting intelligence to impart.

Ultraviolet is a television series created in 98 starring Jack Davenport and that girl who played Jane Bennet in Colin Firth Pride and Prejudice. -shrugs-

Anyway, it is sci-fi fic - kind of - on Vampires who are trying to take over the world, except they're not called Vampires - they're strictly refered to as "Leeches". Jack Davenport's character, Mike, is part of a team that specializes in neturalizing these dangerous "Leeches" and placing them in a top secret, under-the-church ultraviolet lit vault where they cannot regenerate. Luckily, considering as the series does not start with him discovering Leeches at every turn, the realization was not slow at all and was found sometime in the first episode of six.

HOW YOU KNOW IF YOU OR ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS IS A LEECH

Your voice will not be heard over any technology, such as mobile devices, telephones, floppy disks, you name it.

You will not be able to be seen in mirrors or on video tapes, or on gun scopes.

You will get seriously and fatally burned when exposed to direct sunlight.

You can be killed only by special bullets - garlic - and I think coal has something to do with the bullets. a stake/rod driven through the heart works as well.

You will be deathly afraid of anything to do with the church, from cross necklaces to churches.

The bite on your neck - once it heals - can only be exposed with Ultraviolet light.

The Leeches drink blood, but you can only become one if you are drained.

Being bitten doesn't effect you - except you might throw up at the sight of a church for a month or two.

Am I forgetting anything? Oh yeah:

And you might have the sudden thirst for blood and want to kill people. This is natural to the whole changing process. Tinted windows are a plus, if you do go driving in the daytime - wouldn't advise it - you might get charged with a hit and run and get badly burnt in the process that might either lead to your sudden neturalization or extreme pain.

You also might quit your job if its a day job, but that's natural.

So, in conclusion, Ultraviolet was an extraordinary series in itself. My only regret is that it ended.

Happy biting!

Here's lookin' at ya, kid.
